In 1967, Britain gave Grenada autonomy over its internal affairs. Full independence was attained in 1974 making Grenada one of the smallest independent countries in the Western Hemisphere. Despite its tiny size, this country has lots of wonderful destinations to attract the discerning visitor. Which of these great sites in Grenada would you most like to visit?

The Caribbean is a great place, and there are many lovely beaches there for you to enjoy. If the beach is not the primary reason for your travel there, you might want to work on making your itinerary friendlier to the ocean. The sea is our mother, the crucible of life, the womb from which we all crawled together. It's important to return from time to time and recreate that connection. Carib Indians inhabited Grenada when Columbus discovered the island in 1498, but it remained uncolonized for more than a century. The French settled Grenada in the 17th century, established sugar estates, and imported large numbers of African slaves. This lead to the multicultural mixing that makes the island such a delight to visit today. Which of these great sites in Grenada would you most like to visit?

Grenada was seized by a Marxist military council on 19 October 1983. Six days later the island was invaded by US forces and those of six other Caribbean nations, which quickly captured the ringleaders and their hundreds of Cuban advisers. Free elections were reinstituted the following year and have continued since that time.Which great site would you like to see on the now free island?

The Caribbean is a beach-lover's paradise. There are beaches all over the place, and, what's more, the carefree beach culture that goes along with the nomadic oceanic lifestyle. If life is getting you down, just go to the beach. There you will be reminded that all manner of adventure is awaiting you on the other side of the horizon, if you just have the tenacity to propel yourself there.
