Since the dawn of time, mountains have been inspiring man to reach and build towards the heavens. Many primitive cultures worshiped these giant geological formations as deities in their own right, and built ancient temple to mimic the shape of them. While on vacation, you should take some time to take in (and maybe climb) on of these amazing mountains.

Nepal is located in Southern Asia, between China and India. The terrain is what's know as "Tarai" or flat river plain of the Ganges in south, central hill region, rugged Himalayas in north. In 1951, the Nepalese monarch ended the century-old system of rule by hereditary premiers and instituted a cabinet system of government. Reforms in 1990 established a multi-party democracy within the framework of a constitutional monarchy. An insurgency led by Maoist extremists broke out in 1996. Now, however, the country is safe and has many beautiful sites for you to visit. Which one is at the top of your list?

The Constituent Assembly elected the country's first president in July. The Maoists, who received a plurality of votes in the Constituent Assembly election, formed a coalition government in August 2008, but resigned in May 2009 after the president overruled a decision to fire the chief of the army staff.Now the country is safe and open for visitors.
