Sydney Australia is blessed with outstanding Fish and Chips shops (restaurants) due to the city's ocean side location. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, some are up scale (Doyles on the Beach) and others (Mongers) remind us of our childhood newspaper wrapped fish and chips.

England seized Jamaica in 1655 and established a plantation economy based on sugar, cocoa, and coffee. The abolition of slavery in 1834 freed a quarter million slaves, many of whom became small farmers. Jamaica gradually obtained increasing independence from Britain.
