With its roots as a 17th century inn, this sky blue and white house, with huge views from the upper floors, is filled with music, pictures and good books. Warm and welcoming Thelma McCausland, a great home cook, offers two guest bedrooms in her family home, one blue and pretty, the other deep red and handsome, with Irish linen on the beds and plenty of extra touches but, appropriately, not televisions. The neat, pretty sitting room is at guests' disposal; the smell of fresh baking scents the air. How would you rate this great hotel?

This tranquil and indulgent hideaway is one of our favorite locations for a weekend escape with a loved one. Hacienda del los Santos has all the ingredients for a perfect getaway - sumptuous rooms with wood burning fireplaces, cozy terraces and an exquisite and very romantic restaurant. In summer, when Alamos basks in temperatures around 90 degrees F, the enticing swimming pools provide daytime distraction. How would you rate this wonderful hotel?

The pool top restaurant takes full advantage of its location and offers sweeping views of the dramatic coastline. Lunch can be served here but Villa Franca's main restaurant is located off the small reception, lounge and bar on the entrance level. The lounge is filled with terracotta urns, plants and royal blue armchairs and sofas with white lions' heads at the end of the arms, not to everyone's taste, but certainly a fresh and memorable look. How would you rate this great hotel?
