What is the best beach in Europe? It's a tough question to settle out. How do you determine which characteristics make it on your list of important characteristics? Sand quality? Heat level? It's a bit of a puzzler when you come right down to it, because beaches are fractal. Every beach is the ideal beach, in one way or another. Which of these great beaches do you like the best?

Asia is a great place, and there are many lovely beaches there for you to enjoy. If the beach is not the primary reason for your travel there, you might want to work on making your itinerary friendlier to the ocean. Traveling in the Caribbean is a great excuse for seeing a lot of great beaches. There are many different beaches about, and with a little planning you can hit three or four inside of a week. Carib Indians inhabited Grenada when Columbus discovered the island in 1498, but it remained uncolonized for more than a century. The French settled Grenada in the 17th century, established sugar estates, and imported large numbers of African slaves.
