In 1942 the Philippines fell under Japanese occupation as part of World War II, and US forces and Filipinos fought together during 1944-45 to regain control of their island. On July 4, 1946 the Republic of the Philippines attained its independence. A 20-year rule by Ferdinand Marcos ended in 1986, and currently the country offers many wonderful attractions. Canada is lots of fu to visit. The people are really friendly and the seasons seem to change quite quickly. It's a large, wealthy place, and they're all willing to welcome you into their homes at even the slightest provocation. Everyone is very polite and clean, and they mostly speak English. There are only six sites on earth that can claim to be spaceports, having legitimately launched human beings into outer space. The Cayman Islands were colonized from Jamaica by the British during the 18th and 19th centuries and were administered by Jamaica after 1863. In 1959, the islands became a territory within the Federation of the West Indies. When the Federation dissolved in 1962, the Cayman Islands chose to remain a British dependency. These days, they're a beautiful place to visit. What attraction draws you there most?
