In 1840, their chieftains entered into a compact with Britain, the Treaty of Waitangi, in which they ceded sovereignty to Queen Victoria while retaining territorial rights. In that same year, the British began the first organized colonial settlement.These days, many remnants of the original colonization remain. Which site on New Zealand's northern island would you most like to visit?

In 1958 Jamaica joined other British Caribbean colonies in forming the Federation of the West Indies. Jamaica gained full independence when it withdrew from the Federation in 1962. Deteriorating economic conditions during the 1970s led to recurrent violence as rival gangs affiliated with the major political parties evolved into powerful organized crime networks involved in international drug smuggling and money laundering. These days it's more peaceful and ripe for a nice visit. Which place would you most like to see in Jamaica?

Ecuador is located in Western South America, bordering the Pacific Ocean at the Equator, between Colombia and Peru. Violent crime, drug trafficking, and poverty pose significant challenges to the government of Jamaica today. Nonetheless, many rural and resort areas remain relatively safe and contribute substantially to the economy.It is a beautiful country and really deserves a quick visit if you can afford to see it.
